Vacuum moulded film (bottom) Polytherm-Cast™ is used for moulding cells of a specified form (after heating), which the product is put into.
The film has a five-layer structure and relates to so-called “soft films.
This is the most common type of the material on the European market with a barrier layer based on polyamide, which can provide the required shelf-life and package design.
When choosing the bottom moulded vacuum film the depth of moulded cell should be considered first. The higher the tension is during the deep moulding, the thinner the barrier layer becomes, which must protect the product from damage, especially in bottom edges of a cell. In order to compensate this effect it is necessary to use thicker films.
Film set Polyplene™ + Polytherm-Cast™ endures pasteurization at temperature up to 100°С within 30 minutes standard pasteurization mode).
Most companies use film with thickness of 68 and 70 micron, in practice 48, 58, 78, 98, and 118 micron films are used as well.
