Multilayer vacuum formable film
If compare combined films with traditional types of packaging it becomes clear that combined films are more universal and easy in processing, moreover they are cheaper and more practical. They allow to pack foodstuff in modified gas environment — package is filled with special gas mixture to increase the product implementation time.

Further we will stop at the main characteristics of vacuum-formed films.
1. UPPER (LIDDING) FILM (thickness from 45 to 150 microns) — laminated vacuum film having at least 3 layers serves for package sealing.
Standard lidding film composition: PA/PE, OPA/PE, PET/PE where PA is polyamide, OPA is oriented polyamide, PET - polyethyleneterephthalate (lavsan), PE - polyethylene.
Top layer (PA, OPA, PET) — barrier. It serves for protection against external influence: from transmission of water vapor and oxygen, CO2, gives resistance to oils and fats, serves as a basis for interlayer printing (corporate logo, different pictures and other information).
Lower layer (PE) serves for sealing with lower film.
2. LOWER (THERMOFORMABLE) FILM (thickness from 120 microns to 800 microns) — multilayer vacuum film serving for package formation.
Thermoformable film composition: PVC/PE, APET/PE PA/PE, PAcast/PE, PAevoh/PE.
There are two types of lower films — rigid and soft.
Thickness of rigid films — from 230 microns to 800 microns. Can be transparent as well as any other color (at client’s request).
Thickness of soft films can be from 120 microns to 300 microns.
Vacuum formable films can be produced with the following options:
PEEL - with easy opening effect (allow to open package having pulled for a corner with easy effort, without knife)
REPEEL - reusable opening (allow multiple package opening and closing, protects product from drying and pollution)
AF - antifog (allow to avoid condensate and package fogging while changing storage temperature requirements).
HG (high gloss) - high-transparent film with adding of PP external layer.
Color — possibility to deliver colored lower films (white, blue, black etc.)
Packing materials shall be selected depending on requirements that are claimed to production storage period, appearance, transportation conditions etc. Therefore it is effectually to address to the companies that specialize in production and supply of materials for food package in modified gas environment. Specialists of Sinergia company are always ready to give the qualified help at choice and delivery of films according to the requirements of certain enterprise.
