Packing vegetables and firewood in a pallet net

Let’s imagine that you need to pack and prepare for long-term transportation, fruits and vegetables, or products for which it is important to maintain a certain humidity, for example, firewood? The goods need to be fixed well, but the standard solution (stretch film) does not allow ventilation.

To solve the problem, our experts proposed a Robopac Ecoplat pallet wrapper with a rotating table and a pallet net.

Advantages of the solution:
  • The mesh structure and elasticity of the material make the pallet net an ideal packaging material for demanding products. It allows you to create an optimal storage regime for packaged products with constant ventilation and minimal moisture accumulation.

As part of our company's customer consultations, we tested the solution for two product groups:
  • Designed for packaging in both pallet net and stretch film, the Ecoplat pallet wrapper saves material by observing uniform net tension and securely packs goods on a pallet.

As part of our company's customer consultations, we tested the solution for two product groups:

Firewood packing:

Task:

The client of the Sinergia company starts to export firewood. The packaging for delivery is regulated by their customer: 6 rows of firewood are placed on a pallet with 12 packages on each; two pallets are placed one on top of the other and connected. The winding should provide free air access so that condensation does not accumulate, because it spoils the consumer properties of firewood.

Solution: The number of winding layers was regulated by a preset program; the tension force was set by the operator. Additional layers of net were added between the pallets to give strength.

The result: Winding with a pallet net using a semi-automatic pallet wrapper securely fixed the packages with firewood on the pallet. As a result, we have obtained a stable system of two pallets placed one on top of the other without additional screeds. Manual wrapping would not work for such a task, because it would not provide sufficient fixation and would be difficult for the employee, since the final height of the two pallets was 2.52 m.

Vegetables packing:

Task:

to pack various seasonal vegetables for further transportation on pallets.

The solution was tested on carrots and onions.

Result:

as in the case of firewood, the number of winding layers was regulated by a preset program, the tension force was set by the operator. No additional layers were used.

The wrapping formed a neat pallet and securely fixed the vegetable packages without damaging the product.
